I’ve told you before that I don’t love plotting ahead before I write a book, but when planning a series, sometimes even I have to take a stab at it. I will scribble notes on paper or the whiteboard in my office, and all too often they bear no resemblance to the actual story.
But I found this in my old photos from 8 years ago, the beginnings of the Sweetgrass Springs series—and surprise to me, some parts of these notes actually made it into the books! In case you’d find it interesting, I’m sharing a few of my notes.
